Even if you just soundproof your car doors with Dynamat, the increase in audio quality and reduction of outside noise will be greater than if you purchased a new pair of speakers. It's seriously that good.
Dynamat worth it?
I used a product called Frost King from Home Depot, but any of the foam foil backed stuff with a sticky side is going to work. Some better than others, as they are made specifically for that purpose, but if you were in two similar cars with different products you'd be hard pressed to tell the diff.
