Meet the Maker: Debbie and John Everling of Everling Coastal Farm
Summers are a busy time for Everling Coastal Farm, and Debbie and John Everling have been preparing for yet another season of farmers markets. Started in 2016 focusing on microgreens for local restaurants, expanded into nut oils and Italian balsamic vinegars after Debbie joined full-time in 2019.

A tasting of the cold-pressed, unfiltered, chemical-free sunflower and pecan oils from Everling Coastal Farm had me at hello. It’s perfect for searing scallops or steaks in cast iron pans, and great for making pesto, vinaigrettes and salad dressings. An 8 1/2 ounce bottle of sunflower oil is $15, and $18 for the pecan.
