Minto Island is turning a pet project into Oregon's first tea farm
Minto Island Tea Company is betting the farm on the only Oregon-made organically-certified craft tea in the country. The tea has earned international attention from Chinese and Japanese visitors.
Pinkies Up! A Local Tea Movement Is Brewing
The farm grows Camellia sinensis on a half-acre plot in Salem, Ore. The tender leaves are hand picked and hand processed to make 100 pounds of organic, small batch tea.
