What reviewers say about Recording The Masters

RTM SM900 Tape Review - Professional Audio Recording
I definitely recommend the RTM SM900, and I'll be using more of it in the future. It does everything I want tape to do by imparting a bit of subtle compression, packaging the bottom end nicely, and adding some light coloration and glue to the mix.

RTM C60 & C90 Type One Cassette Tapes Review
I reviewed the RTM (Recording The Masters) 1/4-inch SM900 tape back in Tape Op #161, was very pleased with it... Then... they gave me a few of their C60 and C90 Type One cassette tapes. I am excited.

Comparing 1/2 reel tape for analog tape machines
The beautiful RTM SM 911 tape is very flat, adds very little color... The RTM SM900 reel tape however... is the holy grail of tape quality. This tape is smooth... It has what I describe as a 'silk top' and it adds a character that is unmatched.

About this listing

Headquarters and manufacturing are recorded separately, because they are often different places: a brand headquartered in one country frequently manufactures in another. Tabarnam lists what the catalog holds and marks the rest unknown. Entries come from public sources and may be incomplete or out of date — production moves.
