Yukon Soaps Company reconnects people to the land
Joella Hogan is a busy woman. When she’s not mixing, cutting and packaging handmade soaps in her workshop in Northern Canada, she’s being interviewed by fashion magazines and videographers about her small-town business and Indigenous roots. “It’s so exhausting,” quips the founder of The Yukon Soaps Company (YSC).
It Makes a Village
On a snowy day in mid-April, a crowd gathered outside an aqua-blue building in downtown Mayo... This was the opening day for Yukon Soaps Co.’s brand-new, 2,000-square-foot manufacturing facility.
