2016 Tommasi Amarone della Valpolicella Classico, Italy, Veneto, Wine Review
The nose is nice with cherries, black cherries, roasted herbs and slight leather notes. Full bodied. Light tannins. On the palate, this has black cherries, red currants and spice.
Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DOCG
Dried strawberry and violet notes are layered with supple tannins in this medium-bodied Amarone, underscored by accents of wild herb, singed orange peel and wood smoke that linger on the silky finish. 91 pts.
Headquarters and manufacturing are recorded separately, because they are often different places: a brand headquartered in one country frequently manufactures in another. Tabarnam lists what the catalog holds and marks the rest unknown. Entries come from public sources and may be incomplete or out of date — production moves.
